Captain America: Civil War

The official teaser trailer for Marvel's Captain America: Civil War is finally here and it looks just as epic as we had all hoped for!

The official premise is " After the events of Age of Ultron, another international  incident involving Captain America and the Avengers results in collateral damage, prompting politicians to form a system  of accountability and a governing body to determine when to call in the Avengers. This results in the fracturing of the team while they attempt to protect the world from a new enemy."

The trailer has a lot of new footage not seen before, and makes it clear that Bucky and Steve are a force to be reckoned with. With Steve (Captain America) and Tony (Iron Man) on opposing sides of the law, and their fellow Avengers forced to choose, will they be able to save the world without destroying each other?

Civil War features an ensemble cast, including new faces such as Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Scarlet Witch (Elisabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bethany) and Antman (Paul Rudd).

Whose side will you be on?

Civil War will be released on May 6 2016.

Julia Roberts in 'Secret in Their Eyes'

Julia Roberts takes the lead in the upcoming thriller "Secret in Their Eyes", co-starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Nicole Kidman and directed by Billy Ray.

Three friends - FBI Investigators Ray (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Jess (Julia Roberts) and District Attorney Supervisor Claire (Nicole Kidman) are struck by tragedy when they discover at a murder scene, that the victim is Jess's teenage daughter. They find a suspect but it ultimately leads to a dead end.

13 years later things are very different between the three friends, until  Ray returns to Los Angeles believing he has found a new lead that can solve the case and catch the killer.

Jess has become obsessed with finding justice for her daughter at whatever cost with or without her friend's help. This soon becomes a race against time for Ray and Claire to catch the killer before Jess does.

The trailer showcases a lot (if not most) of the intense scenes, such as Jess finding out her daughter is the victim which I think would have been a powerful surprise/shock factor for the audience. Nonetheless this film looks like it will be full of emotionally charged scenes, Julia Roberts looks particularly impressive.

What do you think? - Enjoy the trailer and let me know your thoughts below!

Secret in Their Eyes will be released on 20th November 2015.

Natalie Dormer gets lost in 'The Forest'

If you go down to the woods today...well, in this case 'The Forest', you're sure to find a surprise.

Game of Thrones Natalie Dormer is the lead in the upcoming horror film set in Japan. Dormer stars as Sara, a young woman who travels to Aokigahara Forest - notoriously known as a suicide spot, in search of her twin sister who is missing.

Now, here's a not so fun fact - Aokigahara Forest is actually a real-life place that exists in Japan, where people really have gone to commit suicide. Seriously! Cue the creepy...

The Forest has a lot of potential from the looks of the trailer. I hope it has the same vibe as the American versions of The Ring and The Grudge-two fantastic American/Japanese culture hybrids but only time will tell.

Directed by Jason Zada and due for release on 8th January 2016.

Will Ferrell has Daddy Issues in ' Daddy's Home'

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are back and fighting to win the title of 'Daddy Cool' in their upcoming comedy 'Daddy's Home'.

Their first reunion since 'The Other Guys', Ferrell and Wahlberg are back to their usual best as sparring polar opposites.

Brad Taggart (Ferrell) is a polite, sweet and reliable step-dad to his wife's children. Already struggling to be the best father he can be, more problems arise when their father Dusty Mayron (Wahlberg) turns up out of the blue.

Dusty is everything Brad isn't, but he can't compete with the fact that Brad has raised his children while he was away. Cue the hilarious battle between the two for the kids affections.

'Daddy's Home' looks like the usual comedy formula and chemistry that works so well with Ferrell and Wahlberg - so fans of 'The Other Guys' are sure to enjoy this!

Will you be watching?

Directed by Sean Anders & John Morris, 'Daddy's Home' will be released on the 25th December 2015.

Are you brave enough for 'The Walk'?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars in 'The Walk', the true story of French tightrope walker Philippe Petit, who found fame in 1974 when he walked on a wire between the towers of The World Trade Centre

I'm not sure this is the one for you if you suffer from vertigo, the effects look incredible (as do JG-L's blue contacts) but if you can manage getting over that, this looks certain to be another classic Zemericks can add to his mammoth list of blockbuster hits!

Directed by Robert Zemericks ('Back to the Future'/ 'Forest Gump' and 'Castaway' are just the tip of the iceberg on his resume) and starring Ben Kingsley, Charlotte Le Bon and  Ben Schwartz, 'The Walk' will be released on the 30th September 2015 in IMAX 3D and October 9th in regular 2D.

The official trailer for the upcoming 'Angry Birds Movie' dropped yesterday, and surprisingly looks like it will be a lot of fun. Starring some well known names such as GOT'S Peter Dinklage, Frozen's Josh Gad and We're The Miller's Jason Sudeikis.

Considering it's based on a game, I think we were all pretty curious how the film might turn out, but by the looks of the trailer it could be an unsuspecting smash hit!

'Angry Birds Movie' will be landing in cinemas on the 20th May 2016.

What do you think of the trailer? Smash hit in the making or hit and miss?

Tina Fey & Amy Poehler in 'Sisters'

The first trailer has been released for the hilarious duo's newest team up in 'Sisters'. Directed by Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) it tells the story of  Katie (Fey) and Maura (Poehler), two sisters who decide to throw the house party they always wanted, before their parents sell their childhood home.

As expected mayhem and ridiculous antics ensue, and with most members of SNL featuring I have no doubt it will be an entertaining view.  There are some great moments in the trailer - including a musical box - so I'll be giving this a try.

What do you think of the trailer? A hit or a miss?

'Sisters' will be released on 18th December 2015.

Luke Bracey in 'Point Break'

The latest trailer for the remake of 'Point Break' has dropped, reminding us that it will be just as action packed as the famed original. In fact, this trailer seems to be the ultimate in extreme sports for actor Luke Bracey (Best of Me).

Bracey takes on the role of young FBI Agent Johnny Utah, tasked with the challenge of infiltrating a group of extreme athletes believed to be behind a string of  robberies. His task soon becomes compromised as he becomes closer to the gang, particularly leader Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez) and their friend Samsara (Theresa Palmer).

Johnny quickly realises he must draw the line somewhere, and  determine which side of the law he will live by.

'Point Break' directed by Ericsson Core, will be released in the US and UK on the 25th December 2015.

Eli Roth's 'The Green Inferno'

PROCEED WITH CAUTION:

I'm sure the name Eli Roth is familiar to most of you.

Even if you've never seen one of his movies, it's probably a given you know what he's famous for. No it's not your kitten and rainbows kinda thing, more like cannibalism and torture, all evident in his newest film 'The Green Inferno'.

Now, I am a HUGE horror fan so yes, I am very excited for this film and by the looks of it Roth has another classic on his hands. I think the premise is great: the idea of these naive and idealistic  group of students on a humanitarian mission to save a tribe in the Amazon rainforest. It all goes well until on the way home, their plane crashes leaving them alone and injured in the middle of the Amazon. They have no idea that these same people will soon be killing them in the most unimaginable and terrifying ways.

Do they deserve it? No, of course not! But that's why it's so terrifying. A film like this is different from other horror films. It has no rules, it doesn't matter if you're the shy nerdy type or the bitchy loud mouth. It's brutal and it's disturbing because it's unpredictable in the most twisted ways. They are outsiders to this tribe, they are seen as the threat and unfortunately no good deed goes unpunished.

The early screenings have received fantastic reviews, calling Roth's film the most disturbing and shocking to date. As I said, I'm excited for the film but not sure if i'll be able to stomach it.

'The Green Inferno' will be released on the 25th September 2015.

For those that aren't feeling brave enough for the trailer, why not watch the audience reaction instead? Honestly, I'm not sure what's more terrifying...

Quentin Tarantino has kept relatively quiet about his upcoming film 'The H8ful Eight', but the first official trailer has finally been released.

Not too much is known about his latest project, but after viewing the trailer it seems the signature Tarantino style is as prominent as ever! Tarantino dubs it an American western style film, starring Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell and Tim Roth.

On their way they encounter a fellow bounty hunter Major Marquis Warren (Jackson), when a blizzard forces them to take cover. It is then they encounter four strangers and when betrayal and deception becomes rife, these strangers soon realise none of them may ever make it out alive.

'NO ESCAPE' for Owen Wilson

People often forget that Owen Wilson was the impressive lead in action war film 'Behind Enemy Lines'. Although it's been a while since comedy veteran Wilson has ventured into this territory, he seems to be the perfect casting choice for 'No Escape'

'No Escape' directed by John Erick Dowdle (Quarantine, Devil, As Above, So Below), also stars Pierce Brosnan and Lake Bell running for their lives from rebels in war-torn Southeast Asia.

Wilson stars as an American engineer and father, Jack Dwyer who has just relocated with his family to Asia. After Jack gets caught in a violent clash between rebels and local police, he witnesses an American tourist slaughtered outside his hotel. Realising that all foreigners are in danger of their lives, Jack and his family must figure out a way to escape.

The trailer is intense and showcases Owen Wilson's talent, as he is  clearly back to his dramatic best.

'No Escape' is out in cinemas now.

The end is here in 'Mockingjay - Part 2'

The epic conclusion has arrived for Katniss Everdeen in the final part of The Hunger Games trilogy 'Mockingjay - Part 2'.  The newest trailer is dedicated to her  relationship with sister Prim, a sombre and sinister montage throughout.

In Mockingjay -Part 2, we see Katniss join forces with her closest friends and allies in District 13, on a mission to the Capitol to assassinate President Snow. Katniss soon realises that the challenges she has already faced in the arena, is nothing compared to the dangers that await her.

Honestly, I'm a little underwhelmed by this latest trailer, it's mostly a rehash of the first two films, so i'll be including the previous one below. I also think it heavily implies a pretty major spoiler (SO WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK), which if you've read the books you'll know what I'm referring to.

Mockingjay - Part 2 will be released internationally on the 20th November 2015.

Enjoy the spoiler free trailer below!

Krampus: Are you on the naughty list?

Directed by Michael Dougherty (Trick 'r Treat)

In the same vein as  horror classic Black Christmas, here comes another seasonal gorefest called Krampus. It might not strike the fear into you just yet, but after watching the trailer it sure looks to be one hell of a sleigh-ride!

Toni Collette and Adam Scott take the lead, as a family gathering at Christmas takes a deadly turn for the worse. When it should be a time of celebration and good cheer, these twelve family members are instead fighting to survive not only each other, but also the dark and ancient spirit Krampus.

Not too much is given away by the trailer, but it's pretty clear this isn't a picture perfect family, which could lead to some interesting and entertaining viewing in this deadly Christmas treat!

I for one, will definitely be checking this out! What are your thoughts?

Krampus will be released on December 4th 2015.

First Look at Disney's 'The Jungle Book'

The first official trailer has been released for Disney's live action remake of The Jungle Book and it looks incredible. Disney's animated original was released in 1967 and has since become a firm favourite among fans. This newest adaptation has the tricky challenge of respecting the beloved original, as well as delivering a fresh new experience to the audience.

Director Jon Favreau explains, "The original film felt so young. The storylines and the mythology behind Kipling’s stories are very different from the animated film. Navigating those waters is one of my toughest jobs as the director.”

The trailer portrays a distinctly darker tone than the animated classic, but manages the perfect blend of  breath taking CGI and live action. The cast for Disney's newest venture is particularly impressive, with none other than Bill Murray taking the lead as  the loveable bear Baloo, and joining him is newcomer Neel Sethi as 'man-cub' Mowgli.

As you might recognise from the trailer, the role of Kaa, the sly and dangerous snake, is played by Scarlett Johansson. Her mesmerising voice over in the trailer is guaranteed to make you sssshiver, "I'll keep you close...let go of your fear now..." It seems this Kaa is much different from the original, far more sinister and deadly.

Ben Kingsley is cast as the protective panther Bagheera, while Idris Elba takes the role of fearsome tiger Shere Khan. Perhaps one of the most iconic characters would be that of King Louie, the orang-utan King of the Apes. It seems only appropriate that Hollywood royalty himself, Christopher Walken, has accepted the role.

Whilst we still have a way to wait for it's release in April 2016, at least we have a small taste of the  Disney magic to come!

Now, who else has 'The Bare Necessities' stuck in their head?
