' The Lady in the Van' is almost here!

Maggie Smith stars in the true story about an eccentric old woman named Mary Shepherd, who lived for 15 years in a battered van on the driveway of writer Alan Bennett's home.

The trailer teases some of Mary's hilarious one liners and other more sentimental moments such as receiving Christmas presents in her van. The film has been adapted by Alan Bennett himself, and directed by Nicholas Hytner (History Boys, Miss Saigon).

This is Maggie's third outing as Mary Shepherd, having previously played her in an 1999  theatrical adaptation and in 2009 in a Radio 4 production.

The Lady in the Van also stars Jim Broadbent, Alex Jennings and  Frances de la Tour and will be released on November 13th 2015.

Jack Black returns in 'Goosebumps'

The 'Goosebumps' remake is not far away from it's release and looks like the perfect film for Jack Black to make his return.

I think many of us were concerned about our favourite cult TV series becoming a full length feature, but from the looks of the trailer I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's definitely not got the creepy vibe the original 90's show had which is a bit disappointing, catering much more to the family comedy genre but looks like a fun campy ride nonetheless.

There are some firm favourites teased in the trailer and I like the idea of including R.L. Stine as a fully fledged character, instead of the ominous figure (that terrified us) in the original opening credits.

Directed by Rob Letterman ('Shark Tale', 'Monsters vs Aliens'), Jack Black and the gang will be bringing the thrills and chills to a cinema near you on the 16th October.

For the 90's kid nostalgia, watch the original opening below!

Guillermo Del Toro brings the horror in 'Crimson Peak'

Starring Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam and Jessica Chastain, comes the newest nightmare inducing creeper hit from Guillermo Del Toro.

'Crimson Peak' brings the Gothic horror genre back to the big screen and by the looks of the trailer, will be full of what Toro is most famous for  - frights a plenty!

The synopsis goes like this, a young author named Edith (Wasikowska) falls for the charms of the handsome and wealthy Sir Thomas Sharpe (Hiddleston). They fall in love and marry, making home in his sprawling mansion in Cumbria, where he lives with his sister Lady Lucille Sharpe (Chastain). However, the honeymoon period is quickly ended when Edith realises the house is home to something far more sinister than she could ever imagine, and that her husband and sister-in-law may not be who they say they are.

'Crimson Peak' looks visually stunning, and as a huge fan of Guillermo Del Toro's other works such as 'Mama' and 'Pan's Labyrinth', I'm sure this will be the hit it looks certain to be!

What are your thoughts, will you be watching 'Crimson Peak'?

'Crimson Peak' will be released on October 16th 2015 in the US and UK.

Vin Diesel is 'The Last Witch Hunter'

Vin Diesel is not only 'The Last Witch Hunter', but from the looks of the trailer - probably the most badass one too! Joining him in the upcoming supernatural film will be Jon Snow's beloved Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood of The Shire and screen legend Michael Caine.

I have to admit this impressive choice of cast has definitely persuaded me to give this one a go - that and Vin Diesel rocking a look that oddly, I'm very okay with.

Diesel plays Kaulder, an immortal witch-hunter who was cursed by the Queen witch before he killed her many centuries ago. Now with  news that her resurrection is imminent and with time running out, he has no choice but to team up with a beautiful rogue witch to save the human race.

'The Last Witch Hunter' is directed by Breck Eisner (The Crazies), and will be released on the 23rd October 2015.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

"It's black and blue, God vs man, day vs night..." The trailer for Batman v Superman does a fantastic job of getting us all pumped up, as we wait with baited breath for Superman's latest supersized  adventure.

So let's break it down, what do we know so far:

Since the events of Superman's Man of Steel, he has since been deemed a public menace and controversial hero. There seems to be an equal number of people who believe he is Earth's protector to those that consider him a dangerous threat. From the trailer, it appears obvious that Bruce Wayne aka Batman, falls into the latter category having witnessed the destruction left in Superman's wake.

Much like Marvel's success at creating an expansive and diverse universe for their characters to play in, Warner Bros have followed suit by laying the foundation in the DC universe. Batman v Superman has a lot of ground to cover for what will follow later - Justice League

What's most exciting is that we will finally see Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in action. Gadot is supposedly contracted to three films which includes a Justice League movie and solo Wonder Woman film.

Ben Affleck certainly received a lot of criticism being cast as the newest caped crusader, but I think after watching the trailer these doubts may well be cast aside. He certainly looks the part so finger's crossed he can hold his own against Christian Bale's iconic previous portrayal.

It seems plot details are still very much under wraps, but hopefully it won't be too long until a new trailer drops. Until then, lets replay the trailer!

"The red capes are coming...the red capes are coming..."

Batman v Superman directed by Zack Snyder, will be released in the UK and US on March 25th 2016.

'The Good Dinosaur'

This year for the first time ever, Pixar have gifted us with not just one, but two films to enjoy!

The latest trailer for The Good Dinosaur shows the dream team at Pixar are still reigning supreme. The Good Dinosaur proposes this, what if dinosaurs were never made extinct by an asteroid?

The trailer introduces us to a young apatosaurus named Arlo, who  meets a human cave boy called Spot. Together they must find their way back to the Clawed-Tooth Mountains, Arlo's home.

We all know Pixar deliver on the animation side of things, but they also never fail to disappoint with the emotional heart of the story. So, it's highly likely this film will also pull at the heart strings, much like it's predecessors.

Will you be seeing The Good Dinosaur?

The Good Dinosaur stars Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright and Anna Paquin.

Will be released on the 25th November (US) and the 27th November (UK).

The Martian

The newest trailer released for the upcoming sci-fi The Martian has dropped and intense seems a serious understatement.

Matt Damon stars as Mark Watney, an astronaut who is presumed dead by his crew when their mission to Mars becomes compromised, and is left behind. Defying all odds on the seemingly uninhabitable planet, Mark is able to contact Earth and signal that he is alive. Sounds hopeful right?

Well, there's a catch... it will take four years for the astronauts to get back to Mars to save him and Mark is running out of time and resources.

Directed by Ridley Scott, will be released September 30th.

Enjoy the trailer!
